At that time, poets persisted in each faction and disturbed in developing the art of Waka Poems. This ceremony of the Utakai was planned to break the situation. It continued every year in spring, and this ceremony of the Utakai was held afterwards for half a century. In this article, I point out a basic matter about \"HOUKOUSYA Utakai\" published by this association of the Waka Poems. And by the documents left by editor Endo, I confirm a characteristic of \"HOUKOUSYA\" at the dawn.
