| 内容記述 | 本稿では『保元物語』の古活字版刊行事業の実態を解明する研究の一環として、古活字本系統（所謂「流布本系統」）諸本のうち、古活字版第一種の「異植字版」と称されてきた京大残欠本（上巻一冊のみ現存）の性格を見直した。まず、該本の本来の構成が二巻二冊ではなく三巻三冊構成だったことを指摘し、一般に知られている書誌情報を改めた。次に、古活字版第一種『保元物語』筑波大学本（二巻二冊）と京大残欠本（三巻三冊）、古活字版第一種『平治物語』筑波大学本、平仮名十行古活字版『平家物語』早稲田大学本が共通の欠損活字を有することから、上記三作品が同一の工房でほぼ同時期に刊行されたと推定した。さらに、京大残欠本と筑波大学本の本文異同を抽出し、同系統の写本四本とも併せて検討した結果、異同の多くは京大残欠本の誤脱と判断できた。このことから、ひとまず川瀬氏の分類の第一種をイ版・ロ版に細分し、前者に筑波大学本、後者に京大残欠本を置く試案を提示した。加えて、京大残欠本の本文欠脱が他の版種（第二―八種、及び第十一種）に踏襲されていた点、並びに京大残欠本に確認できる原因不明の空格が他の版種に影響を与えている蓋然性が高い点を指摘し、他の版種のほとんどが京大残欠本のごとき三巻三冊本の影響を受けていたと考えた。本稿の調査結果によれば、従来等閑視されてきた京大残欠本は古活字版刊行事業の実態を知る上で極めて重要な位置にあったといえよう。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | According to the findings of this study, the Incomplete Edition in the possession of Kyoto University, known as the Type One “Character Replacement Edition”, which had previously been neglected, occupies an extremely important position in understanding the actual circumstances surrounding the publication of early printed editions. My research led me to the following conclusions. 1 The Incomplete Edition was originally composed of three volumes and three books, rather than two volumes and two books as was previously believed. 2 The Hōgen Monogatari Type One Edition in the possession of Tsukuba University and The Incomplete Edition, the Heiji Monogatari Old Movable-Type One in the possession of Tsukuba University, and the Heike Monogatari Ten-line Hiragana Old Movable-Type Edition in the possession of Waseda University were published in the same workshop around the same period. 3 Most of the discrepancies between the Tsukuba University Edition and the Incomplete Edition were due to the omissions of some words in the Incomplete Edition. 4 The textual omissions in the Incomplete Edition were carried over into other editions, and it is highly probable that the unexplained blank spaces in the Incomplete Edition influenced other editions as well. | |||||||||||
