This novel includes quotations and transcriptions in modern Japanese from numerous classical works, creating a work largely in the Heian style. It is nevertheless an extremely "Tanizakian" novel. In my presentation, I will attempt to reveal the process whereby the author effectively utilizes the Heian period materials. By a detailed comparison of various passages from the novel with their original sources (mainly from Konjaku Monogatari) and reference to other works by Tanizaki, I hope to elucidate the author's use of his materials regarding names, psychological descriptions of characters and the relationships between them, and to illustrate Tanizaki's process of assimilation.}, pages = {93--109}, publisher = {国文学研究資料館}, title = {研究発表 谷崎潤一郎『少将慈幹の母』にあらわれる平安時代のイメージ}, year = {1997}, yomi = {ビジョー, ジャックリーヌ} }
