It changed motifs and materials, and created the new form of expressions that had not been found in the conventional literary expressions. Regarding verse and prose, they were changed to a great extent. Takahashi Shinkichi often used Dadaistic expressions in his early books and the avant-garde style was used in his poetry as well as in prose. In Dada (1924), Takahashi declared Dadaism abandonment. This novel deals with the materials of depth psychology such as physiological responses, sexual desire, and insanity, and its main subject matter was “what am I?” This had a lot of common in Breton’s Nadja (1928), which was written under the influence of an avant-garde movement.\nIn Dada, Takahashi used several points of view which was a distinctive technique of narration in an avant-garde movement. Through inserting “alter ego”, which is the other self who talks about oneself, in the middle of the plot, he described “oneself” from various points of view. Although Yokomitsu Riichi of neo-sensualism, who was under the influence of Dada in France, described “the fourth person” in his Jyunsui Shōsetsu Ron (1935), Takahashi had already practiced it ten years before. Concerning the narrative viewpoint of “the fourth person” some examples of it were also found in novels in the period of an avant-garde movement in Serbia, and it is well known that Danilo Kis and the neo avant-garde novelists in the latter half of the twentieth century also used it. In this way, this experimental technique that came out of an avant-garde literary movement is now being established as a technique in world literature. Therefore, it can be said that both of Dada by Takahashi as well as Jyunsui Shōsetsu Ron by Yokomitsu arose in the stream of world literature affected by an avant-garde movement.
