Generally, Japanese kanbun novel writers usually wrote by rewriting Chinese literature, but they always displayed Japanese culture and thought in their works to fit in with national conditions. Therefore this kind of novels has both Japanese and Chinese flirtatious expressions. The source material of Yasokidann came from many ways, but we can know that Isikawa got enlightment from Chinese literature by the Chinese ancient mentioned in Yasokidann.\nScholars often compare Yasokidann with Pu-Songling’s Liao Zhai Zhi Yi, Ji-Yun’s Yue Wei Cao Tang Bi Ji and Yuen-Mei’s Zi Bu Yu to point out their influence to Yasokidann.
