Also he was celebrated as Waka Shitenno with Keiun, Jouben, Kenko in the Period of the Northern and Southern Courts.\nTona complied “Soan-syū”, which is the culmination of his life in 1359 under awareness as a leader of the Nijō poetic school. Although “Soan-syū” have similar categories (shiki―four seasons poetry, koiuta―lovers poetry, zoka― miscellaneous poetry, shakyoka―poetry about Buddhism etc.) as chokusenshu (the imperial poem anthology), “Soan-syū” is also showing Tona’s personalities in itself.\nBut “Soan-syū” is not the only one in the ageless history of shika-syū (the personal collection of poetry). For understanding what the special qualities of “Soan-syū” are, it need to be analyzed by taking other chokusen-syū and shikasyū until (Soan-syū) into consideration.\nSo this analyzations about other works that related with “Soan-syū”, (especially Shinshūi Wakashū, the 19th chokusen-syū that Tona participated in the compilation) could help understand what arrangement and composition of “Soan-syū” are.
