He was well-known for  transcriptions of the classics by handwriting and as a great book collector.  His great-grand child was noted for a book collector, too, and his books are possessed in Ehime University library as Suzuka Bunko. “Yamato monogatari”（大和物語）, “Hinamikiji”（日次紀事）, “Shinsenjikyo”（新撰字鏡） are stored there. However the achievement of Tsuratane has not been mentioned often since before.
