 note = {pdf, 架蔵の写本『栄花物語』は、江戸時代初期に版行された絵入抄出本と同じ本文を持つ。奥に「季吟しるす」の識語があり、調査を進めると、季吟は季吟本と称される『栄花物語』の一本を所持するなど、季吟が『栄花物語』にかなり高い関心を持っていたことが確認された。また、異文等の内部徴証から版本を書写して当該写本が生まれることは難しいとの判断に達した。さらに、文字が同一人物の文字と思えるほど相互に酷似している。そうすると写本の書写者と版本の版下作成者とが同一人物ということになるが、雲英末雄氏は季吟が自著の版下を染筆していると指摘しておられた。松村博司氏の研究に戻ってみると、松村氏は絵入抄出本の刊行年をほぼ推定しておられ、その刊行年は季吟の年齢からして人生の熟した時期にあたることが判明した。また、季吟ほどの人物であれば、『栄花物語』の本質を損なわないように『栄花物語』から本文を抄出することは可能であると言える。それらのことを総合すると、あくまでまだ可能性の範囲内ではあるが、高い可能性があることとして、北村季吟は江戸初期に抄出本文の小さい『栄花物語』を作り、絵を入れて読みやすくし、『栄花物語』の享受に大きく貢献したといえることになる。

The manuscript "Eigamonogatari" of my shelf has the text same as "Eigamonogatari" excerpted and illustrated. It was published early in the Edo era. When there was an editor's note of "kiginshirusu" in the depths, and I investigated about Kigin, he possessed the one of "Eigamonogatari" called "kiginbon", and it was confirmed that Kigin had a considerably high interest in "Eigamonogatari". In addition, I reached the judgment from the internal evidence that it was difficult to copy a printed book and bear this manuscript. Furthermore, the letter of this manuscript resembles to the letter of "Eigamonogatari" excerpted and illustrated, as if they were written by the same person. Then the person of the manuscript of handwriting and the block copy creator of the printed book were the same, however, Mr. Sueo Kira pointed out that Kigin performed brush drawing of his own work. Matsumura almost estimated publication age of "Eigamonogatari" excerpted and illustrated. I judged from age of Kigin, he was in the ripe time of his life at the publication year. In addition, it may be said that Kigin can perform excerpting of the text from "Eigamonogatari" without spoiling the essence of "Eigamonogatari". There is still it within the possibility, but, as a high possible thing, Kigin Kitamura made a small "Eigamonogatari" by excerpting text and put illustrations early in Edo, and it may be said that it is contributed to the enjoyment of "Eigamonogatari" by Kigin.},
