| 内容記述 | The aim of this paper is fourfold: 1) to apply the methodology of Literary Structuralism to the analysis of the processes of the influences on and of the Kokinshu , 2) to show how great the extent of those influences are by giving minimum statistics for each major area of influence, 3) to follow both the path of the influence of Chinese poetry and of the Manyoshu upon one poem from Book Nine, the Travel Poems, of the Kokinshu, and to follow the path of the influence of that poem upon later Japanese literature as exemplified by the shuishu, Goshuishu, Utsuho Monogatari, Shinkokinshu, Genji Monogatari, renga, and Noh, and 4) to suggest that an analysis of the processes of these influences as they are found in the Travel Poems of the Kokinshu reveals both that the poems of that anthology contain a lasting brightness and strength which results from the combination of the early Heian Buddhism and Shinto thought upon which they are based, and that the analysis reveals also the successive changes in Buddhist thought that are found in the Late Heian, Kamakura, and Muromachi periods, thus affording a way of understanding those aspects of Buddhist thought which are considered inexpressible except through the best art, poetry, and music. | |||||
