| 内容記述 | Tameaki's Chikuenshō is a poetic treatise which was written at a time of great changes in the history of Japanese Court Poetry. After the death of Teika there developed three schools each claiming to have inherited the true teachings of that great master. Tameaki's work, although not one of the more important and well known ones, seems to have exerted great influence on the ideas of poets in the generations to come. The author is a son of Tameie, Teika's son who says he has inherited the knowledge included in the work from his father who had taught it. The Chikuenshō had been particularly influential on Renga poets. We find ideas first expressed in this work reiterated by such well known masters as Bontōan and Shinkei. Especially Bontōan's Chōtanshō is noteworthy since its first (out of three) volume is almost a copy of the Chikuenshō. In addition to the above the Chikuenshō also must be noted for the fact that it contains quite a few expressions which cannot be found in other works. The names it gives the poetic diseases, and the names of its poetic moods are an example of this. Finally we find in the Chikuenshō two interesting chapters about poetic practices of the day. These are the one concerning poetic composition and the one about inscribing poetry on special paper used for the occasion. |
