| 内容記述 | The lecture tries to give a purely formal description of the fundamental change in literary life between ca.1840 and 1890 by contrasting two “maps”showing the relative position of all kinds of texts in a system of coordinates combining pre-modern criteria of literature viz. “ga”（refined) and “zoku”（vulgar) with modern ones viz. predominance/ absence of the esthetic function. By comparing the two maps is shown that the beginnings of modern literature is characterized by 1. the rise of the concept of “literature ”as a department of “art ”； 2. making the esthetic function the only mark of “art ” and consequently of “literature ”； 3. the formation of greater, more systematic genres; 4. linguistic unification (homogenization) ; 5. the rise of literary criticism; 6. the separation of “pure literature" and “popular literature" ; 7.“desensualization”. | |||||
