| 内容記述 | As is written in the inscription of the Ko-Jôruri Chôsen Taiheiki (Kondô Kiyonobu illu., published 1713?, Waseda University Library collection), this work follows the line of Taikôki genre works about Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invasions of Korea, started by the work Taikôki (Oze Hoan, 1625). This point has already been brought up by WAKATSUKI Yasuji. However Chôsen Taiheiki does not merely take up the standard Taikôki genre style, but by intermixing six stories of the supernatural and travels to other villages from Otogi Bôko (Asai Ryôi, 1666) new variations were attempted. In my presentation I would like to bring to light the similarities and thus relationships between Chôsen Taiheiki and Otogi Bôko through examination of their illustrations, as well as add various observations to the matter. Also, in the 7th volume of Chôsen Taiheiki, though not connected in the least to the overall story, illustrations of Chôsen Tsûshinshi (Korean mission to Japan) and bojôsai (horseback stunts) are included. As well, in regards to construction, where volumes one to six each feature six chapters, only volume seven is set up with a chapter one, two, three , and five arrangement. In other words, by including an illustration of Chôsen Tsûshinshi, a discrepancy in construction arises with the other volumes. I would like to spend a short time examining the meaning of this as well as that of the Chôsen Tsûshinshi illustration itself. Lastly I would like to look at the characteristics and features of Chôsen Taiheiki as a yomihon jôruri work, as well as its bibliography. |
