内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 In Gyōjō, the supplement of Razan Hayashi Sensei Shisyū, Chinese poetry by Hayashi Razan was described as “not only sentences but also poems are among the finest,” and especially, his sentences established a good reputation that “Razan’s sentences are the most excellent throughout Japan” among the Korean envoys at the time. As you will know from the essays by Razan, his sentences are results of a constant effort; through his broad reading experiences, he carefully paid attention to expressions and manner of writing that he wanted to learn from.
There is Santaishi Kobunshinpō No Ben in Hayashi Razan Sensei Bunsyū, vol.26. In it, Hayashi Razan strongly insists that learning the manner of writing poems should not be limited only to Santaishi and Kobunshinpō, although he admitted that those two collections of poems were outstanding and unequivocal, and learning them would be of great help for writing. As Kobunshinpō Kōsyū Genkai Taisei by Ugai Sekisai, who interpreted Razan’s ideas, has a good reputation of being “the best commentary now”, (Shinsyaku Kanbun Taikei "Kobunshinpō (Kōsyū)” Kaidai), it is needless to say that Kobunshinpō Kōsyū must serve as an important reference to understand his writings. Actually, it was found that there were some vocabularies and ideas that Razan seemed to have got from Kobunshinpō Kōsyū. In this paper, I would like to consider Razan’s theory and practice with regard to manner of writing, analyzing some typical examples and demonstrating the influence of Kobunshinpō Kōsyū.
