| 内容記述 | 日本の科学系研究機関において、近年、アーカイブズが設立され、組織や研究者に関する資料の収集・保存が行われるようになってきた。そうした動きの中で、オーラルヒストリーによる記録の収集手法が注目されている。 我が国の核融合研究を推進する核融合科学研究所に設置された核融合アーカイブ室では、核融合関係資料の収集・整理・保存・調査研究を行うと共に、オーラルヒストリーを実施し、記録を収集してきた。 本稿では、核融合アーカイブ室で行われてきたオーラルヒストリーについて、核融合研究の歴史と組織との関わりからその目的を記述し、オーラルヒストリーの収集手法およびアーカイブズ化について考察する。 はじめに我が国の核融合研究の歴史と資料収集に関する流れを明らかにし、オーラルヒストリー実施に到る経緯について示す。次に、共同研究機関という組織の特質に注目しつつ、これまでの当室における実施例からオーラルヒストリーの収集手法、記録の公開、および関連資料の収集保存状況を記す。最後に、収集したオーラルヒストリーをアーカイブズとして活かしていくための課題について考察し、研究機関におけるオーラルヒストリー収集の中でアーキビストとして何ができるのか、果たすべき役割について述べる。 In recent years many scientific institutions in Japan have established an archives division for collecting and preserving materials relating to their respective organizations and researchers. The methods for collecting oral history records are interested in particular. “Fusion Science Archives (FSA)” established in National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) has performed and published the interviews of oral history as well as collection and preservation of other historical materials. This paper discusses the purpose and the necessity of collecting oral histories in terms of the relationship between the development of fusion research and the research organization. This paper concludes with a discussion of the methods by which these various materials are incorporated into the archives. The research history of fusion science in Japan is summarized first. Next, the description of the processes by which relevant materials were collected is followed by a discussion of the circumstances that have led to the collection of oral history materials. Then, the methods employed by the FSA for collecting, preserving, and publishing oral history and related materials, while paying attention to the special features of collaborative research organizations, are discussed. Finally, various issues relating to the ways to utilize the collected oral history, as well as the role of the archivist in such matters, are discussed. |
