| 内容記述 | 資料の内容や性格、状態、数量等、全体像を把握する手法の一つとして概要目録を作成する場合、出所の組織体や機能に着目して、分類項目を設定することが基本的な流れとなっている。 しかし、アーカイブズを構築しようとする企業は社史・年史編纂をきっかけにすることが多く、このような分類項目だけでは十分とは言えない。 そのため、実際の社史・年史編纂にあたり、必要な資料の円滑な利活用をサポートする分類項目が必要となる。 本論文ではアーカイブズが求められる役割や課題を念頭に、筆者が所属する出版文化社等を事例として、組織体や機能分類に加えて、社史・年史編纂という目的を遂行するための分類項目（具体的には社史・年史編纂工程や資料内容を踏まえた分類項目）設定の意義と具体的方法について検討した。 利用者の目的に沿った目録作成を行うことによって資料の活用を促し、アーカイブズ構築の必要性や有効性を広く理解してもらうための一助としたい。 It is generally the case, when compiling an inventory aimed at conveying the content, condition, amount, etc., of a body of material, to establish classificatory categories based on the nature and function of that particular institution in which the material is housed. Those categories, however, often prove insufficient. Most organizations start to create archives when they decide to publish their corporate history or chronicle. It is therefore necessary to develop a new system of classification with which the material can efficiently be used for the compilation of the history. This paper discusses the significance and concrete application of a new system of classificatory categories aimed at supporting the development of corporate histories. I have based my research on personal experience working at Shuppan Bunka Sha Corporation (a publishing company dealing mainly with corporate histories and other business-related books, whose head offices are located in Tokyo and Osaka). It is my hope that this paper will serve to promote the need for and potential effectiveness of an inventory developed especially with the requirements of future archive-users in mind. |
