| 内容記述 | Beginning of MARC at the Library of Congress, U.S.A., the Deutsche Bibliographie, West Germany and the British National Bibliography, U.K. are briefly reviewed to see their leading roles in MARC development and standardisation. To exemplified international efforts, ISO2709, UNISIST-RM and UNIMARC are briefly reviwed. Functions of MARC exchange format and MARC internal format, and their diferences are discussed to demonstrate an area of concern focusing on the Field 008 and the Fixed Field of LC-MARC. Immediate, still potential, implications of MARC implementation in Japanese scene i. e. coordinating arrangement, are remarked. |
