| 内容記述 | 本稿は、三重県松阪市の牧英三郎氏が所蔵される、加藤枝直関係の新出資料すなわち〔牧家系譜〕、枝直詠草および枝直、千蔭書簡等の翻印と解題である。なかでも〔牧家系譜〕は、加藤家の本家筋に当たり、松坂城番組同心を勤めた牧家に伝わる系譜として、従来、知られていた嫡系中心のそれを大きく塗り変える貴重な資料である。とくに、本系譜の出現によって、枝直祖父の遺言により、父尚之が北畠家旧臣仁木氏の末裔を妻に迎え、自らも誇り高き北畠家老臣加藤家を再興、別家したこと、さらに「人がましき奉公人」たらんとし、松坂の城番組同心の職を潔しとしなかった父の意向を汲んだ男子五人が、母方の縁を頼るなどして、すべて相模戸塚および江戸に活躍の場を求めたことなど、枝直の伝記の背景が明らかとなるのは意義深い。かくて兄弟の中で一人抜んでて町奉行与力という栄職を手中にした枝直をもって、かつて関根正直が「立志伝中」の人と称したのも、また宜なるかなと言わなければならない。 This article is a reprint and a bibliography of a new document related to Kato Enao that is to say “Maki family’s family record”, “enao-eiso” and letters of Enao, Chikage and others owned by Maki Eizaburo in Matsuzaka City, Mie prefecture. “Maki family’s family record” is the main family line of Kato family. As a family record handed down to Maki family who worked as Matsuzaka-jo ban-kumi-doshin（松坂城番組同心）, it is a valuable document to remake the family record with a family line which was constituted by a lineage of eldest sons that was known previously. Father of Enao Naoyuki took a descendant of Nikki clan –an old retainer from Kitabatake family to wife by his father’s will. He retrieved by himself fortunes of proud Kato family –senior retainer of Kitabatake family, then he set up a branch family. Moreover, to be “Considerable servant”, all five sons followed the intention of their father who disdained the job of Matsuzaka-jo ban -kumi-doshin and sought areas of activity in Sagami-Totsuka and Edo depending on relatives of their mother’s side. Especially by the appearances of this family record, it is meaningful to become clear the background of biography of Enao that showed them above. It must be said that it is reasonable that Sekine Masanao had once called Enao who obtained an honorary duty of Machibugyo-yoriki, gaining prominence among other brothers, a man of “Risshindenchu (the person who put an effort and hardship to accomplish one’s purpose and succeeded)”. |
