| 内容記述 | 『栄花物語』の公任出家記事を手がかりに、古記録類を読んでいき、公任の出家の経緯を考察した。『栄花物語』の同記事は有名であるが、古記録類を通してみると、既に、娘たちの死以前に公任は辞表を提出し、籠居生活をしていた。そこで、公卿が辞表を出すこと、そして按察使大納言に補せられることを記録類から取り上げ、按察使は以後昇進の見込めない最終的な官職であり、そこから逃れようと辞表を提出したが、不首尾に終わり、そこへ娘たちの死が重なり、出家に至ったことを指摘する。 From the article regarding Kinto became a priest in “Eigamonogatari”（栄花物語）, the past circumstances of it were considered while reading old historical records. This article of “Eiga-monogatari” is famous. Through the old historical records, Kinto had already handed in resignation before his daughters’ death and went into retirement. Therefore the story that a Court noble handed in his resignation and to be appointed to an Azechi-dainagon from the records were picked up. It is indicated that since Azechi was the final government official no future promotion is expected, he handed in his resignation to escape from it, for all this, it ended in failure, and the death of his daughter around sometime caused him to decide to become a priest. |
