| 内容記述 | 夏目漱石の原稿用紙の意匠は双龍文様をあしらったものである。このような意匠は原稿用紙の作者である橋口五葉や発案者であろう漱石の意識の中にどのように形成されたかを明らかにしようと考えた。双龍文様は中国では紀元前から見られ、日本でも奈良時代には伝っており、神社仏閣はもとより、日常目に触れる様々な物品に見ることができる。この稿では五葉や漱石が目にすることのできそうな物品を取り上げ、一部図版を掲げることにより視覚の面からも原稿用紙創作の秘密を探ろうと考えた。文中竜字を用いず龍字を用いたのは象形文字であるこの字が論を進めるに当って必要なためであった。図版の冒頭を飾った原稿用紙の図版と紙型の写真は貴重な資料と自負するものである。 The design of the manuscript paper of Natsume Soseki adorned with “Ssangyong pattern”. I hope to make clear how such design was formed in consciousness of Hashiguchi Goyo who would be a designer of the manuscript paper and Soseki. The Ssang yong patterns were seen from B.C. in China. They were also in the Nara period in Japan. We can see them in shrines and temples and on various things which are daily used and visible. In this article, I would like to investigate a secret of the manuscript paper creation from an optic aspect by picking up the article and some illustrations which Goyo and Soseki seemed to be able to see. A reason to be used a character of “龍” without using “竜” is because this hieroglyph is necessary for the sake of argument. I take pride in the illustration of manuscript paper and photograph of the paper pattern at the first part of the graphic are precious documents. |
