| 内容記述 | 『役者絵づくし』は、野郎歌舞伎・元禄歌舞伎の舞台面の絵が豊富に収録されているため、歌舞伎の演技・演出研究にとっては、見逃せない重要な資料である。ところがこの本は、刊記がないため年代の特定がむつかしく、演技・演出史の重要資料であるにもかかわらず、利用には躊躇しなければならない資料だった。本稿では、近年、国文学研究資料館が購入した原本とともに、筆者が披見した諸本をも紹介し、それら諸本の成立・刊行年代を考証する。もって野郎歌舞伎から元禄歌舞伎にかけての演技・演出研究の基盤を提供しようとするものである。さらに、新出の国文学研究資料館収蔵本には、象眼、いわゆる「雁首のすげ替え」の痕跡が発見できるので、『役者絵づくし』は絵画史の上からも注目すべき資料であることを指摘し、それが歌舞伎の基本的な性格と深く関わることに言及する。 "YakushaYe-zukushi" is an important material for scholars who study kabuki acting or kabuki direction as it contains many pictures from early kabuki stages. As it does not contain an imprint, it is difficult to specify the date of publication. Therefore scholars tend to hesitate when using it although it is important material in the history of kabuki acting and direction. In this paper I will introduce the original, which was recently bought by the National Instimte of Japanese Literature as well as its shohon (such as manuscripts and books containing engraved letters and pictures on woodblocks) and examine their date of formation and publication. My intention is to offer a foundation for the study of acting and direction of early kabuki. We can find the traces of new engravings which partly re-carved the illustrations in the original owned by the National Institute of Japanese Literature. This is the famous ukiyoe technique called ‘zogan (inlay)’ or ‘gankubi no sugekae (change the bowls)’. From this point, I would like to point out that “YakushaYe-zukushi” is a notable material for the history of Japanese pictures as well. I will also mention that the zogan of “YakushaYe-zukushi” deeply relates to the characteristic of kabuki. |
