| 内容記述 | The theme of ‘narrative person’ in the world of verbal art is very interesting. The storyteller of a verbal art, which can be rakugo or Kōdan, has in fact to represent many kinds of characters, to perform the parts of all of them, and to reproduce their way of talking. Then, among the characters, the storyteller himself appears as a narrative voice, in a narrative structure that can be very interesting and complex. In particular, if we analyze the San’yūtei Enchō’s works, the theme of ‘narrative person’ become even more interesting. As it is well known, Enchō was not only a storyteller, but he composed almost all the titles of his repertory. Among the characters he created and performed, he portrayed in particular female characters and their passions in a very impressive way. If we look at his repertory, we can see that if inside the rakugo stories the female characters have not an important role, inside the ghost stories or the adaptations from western stories, the presence of female characters are impressive and very interesting. In my paper I would like to analyze some examples of female description inside the Enchō’s repertory and then to focus in particular on the analyses of the point of view of the women represented in Kaidan Botandōrō, and try, through them, to catch some Enchō’s point of view. |
