内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 The purpose of this presentation is to know the intention of the creator of Hanabusa Soshi by studying resources and materials he had used.
This book, published in Osaka by Kashiwabaraya Seiemon and Kikuya Soubei (1749), is said to be the first reading book. Nine short stories are contained in five volumes. It is already known where eight of the nine stories came from. Each story corresponds to the eight episodes of Yushimingyan (History to light up) and Jingshitongyan (History to warn) of Sanyan series. Nothing, however, had been taken from Xingshihengyan.
According to the record Gobunko mokuroku, the shogunate’s library took in Xingshihengyan in 1653 and Yushimingyan in 1668. Another record says Jingshitongyan in 40 volumes has been brought to Japan in 1743. Then why didn't the author use Xingshihengyan as a resource even though it had already arrived in Japan?
The resources of Jingshitongyan and Yushimingyan are followings; ……
The reason the author picked these books is considered that he thought they were very convenient to pursue his own justice, understand politics and history and express his view of women. Of Sanyan, however, Xingshihengyan is different from the other two in their contents. Most part of the book is occupied with folktales and stories about actual daily life during the era of Ming Dynasty. Those stories might not have been convenient for the author.
